mage Guided Interventional Procedures – 20 credits
This module is one academic year in length. There are two academic days delivered online at the start of the module. The remainder of learning takes place within the learner’s own workplace. The module is assessed by a written assignment and a clinical portfolio.
Applicants focus their clinical portfolio to either ultrasound or X-ray guided procedures, dependent on their workplace practice (if choosing ultrasound guided, applicants must hold a breast ultrasound qualification).
Learners must perform a minimum of 55 unassisted interventional procedures and have a Consultant Radiologist acting as their workplace mentor over the duration of the module. Please contact the Training Centre before making your application if you are concerned about meeting these requirements.
