The National Breast Imaging Academy (NBIA) is pleased to support and promote the Prevent Breast Cancer Research Conference 2026, taking place in Manchester on 3 – 4 March 2026. Prevent Breast Cancer were a key part of the recent successful appeal for the NBIA Training Academy, and the conference reflects the same shared commitment across the sector to improving early detection, prevention and education in breast cancer care.
This two-day conference will bring together researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals and advocates to explore the latest developments in breast cancer prevention, early diagnosis and risk reduction. CPD points will be available for those attending, making the event particularly relevant for professionals looking to combine learning, networking and continuing professional development.

Keynote speakers include internationally recognised researchers such as Cathrin Brisken, Simon Knott and Walid Khaled, alongside a wider faculty of experts from across research and clinical practice.
There will also be opportunities to:
- Submit an abstract for the poster session – applications close on Saturday 31st of January
- Apply to take part in the live “Dragons’ Den” funding round, for work related to early detection or prevention. Applications close on Saturday 31st of January.
