The National Breast Imaging Academy (NBIA) is once again bringing the breast imaging community together for its second Quality Improvement and Audit (QIA) Symposium, following the success of its inaugural event in 2025. This year’s symposium will take place on Friday 15th May 2026, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams.
The symposium is designed to highlight progress, celebrate innovation and strengthen best practice in breast imaging. The event will showcase quality improvement projects and audits of breast imaging services, following requests for submissions from colleagues from across the UK.
The symposium remains free to attend and fully virtual, ensuring accessibility to all with an interest in breast imaging and quality improvement. It continues the NBIA’s commitment to building a highly skilled breast imaging workforce.
Commenting on the Symposium, Dr Caroline Parkin, Consultant Breast Radiologist and NBIA co-founder said:
“We are delighted to be running the event for a second year, and we’re really looking forward to showcasing another wide range of innovative projects and audits. The continued enthusiasm for quality improvement is a testament to the strength of our workforce and the collective commitment to driving excellence across breast imaging.”
