The National Breast Imaging Academy (NBIA) is delighted to invite graduates from cohorts 1 – 9 of our Level 4 Mammography Associate Apprenticeship to a special Alumni Day on Thursday 20th November 2025 at The Nest, Manchester.
Since the apprenticeship launched in 2019, nationally over 200 mammographers have qualified through the programme (with over 100 through the NBIA at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust), playing a vital role in supporting breast screening and diagnostic services across the NHS. This inaugural NBIA Alumni Day is a chance to come together, celebrate achievements, and look ahead to exciting future opportunities in the profession.
The day will feature:
- Educational sessions on apprenticeships, accreditation and continuing professional development.
- Insights into the next steps, including the Level 5 Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship.
- Networking opportunities with peers and colleagues from across the country.
- A special celebratory badge presentation to mark the contributions of our alumni.
