We are pleased to highlight the Greater Manchester Cancer Conference 2026, hosted by the Greater Manchester Cancer Academy and taking place on 12-13 May 2026 at the Deansgate Hotel, Manchester. The conference brings together professionals, partners, patients and carers from across the Greater Manchester cancer system to share learning, innovation and best practice.
Cancer remains a major health challenge, with breast cancer continuing to be one of the most common cancers in the UK – around 56,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed each year, underlining the ongoing importance of collaboration, early detection and high-quality services.
The conference programme is expected to reflect key priorities in cancer care, including service improvements, research and innovation, and provides a valuable opportunity for multidisciplinary learning and discussion. It is open to a wide range of attendees, including clinicians, healthcare professionals, NHS staff, researchers, academic partners, patients and carers – anyone with an interest in improving cancer care and outcomes. Further information and registration details are available at:

The Nightingale Centre, home to the NBIA, is part of the Greater Manchester cancer network, and many colleagues working in breast imaging and wider cancer services may find the conference particularly relevant. We encourage those across the cancer workforce to consider attending as part of their ongoing professional development and commitment to improving cancer outcomes.
