Breast Clinicians

Arrow In this section

Breast clinicians are doctors working in breast symptomatic and screening units across the country as part of the multidisciplinary breast team.  They are trained in a range of areas including mammographic interpretation, ultrasound and biopsy, with some taking leading roles in the screening programme or working within family history or surgical symptomatic clinics. However, at present there is no standard training pathway for breast clinicians, and training routes are variable and based on local service needs.
